Zcash (ZEC) – Is this the best crypto ever made?

Zcash (ZEC) is one of the best privacy coins in the market today, alongside Monero (XMR). But what if it is not just one of the best privacy coins, but one of the best coins ever? This could be a possibility considering that most of its features are unmatched in this market.  Zcash (ZEC) is built by some of the top brains in academia.

This is quite evident in some of its tech advancements, the biggest one of them being Zn-Snarks.  Zn-Snarks (Zero-Knowledge Succinct Non-Interactive Argument of Knowledge) is one of the most advanced privacy technologies ever created. Through this tech, an individual,

…can prove possession of certain information, e.g. a secret key, without revealing that information, and without any interaction between the prover and verifier.

It gives Zcash an edge in terms of adoption as a crypto for making private payments. Over and beyond this tech, Zcash like all other cryptos is looking into issues of off-chain scalability. While bitcoin is looking to the lightning network as a solution, Zcash is looking into an off-chain solution that retains Zcash privacy capabilities. The solution that they are working on is Bolt.  The Zcash team defines Bolt as,

…a system for conducting privacy-preserving off-chain payments between pairs of individual parties. BOLT is designed to provide a Layer 2 payment protocol for privacy-preserving cryptocurrencies such as Zcash, by allowing individuals to establish and use payment channels for instantaneous payments that do not require an on-chain transaction.

This works just like the lightning network, albeit ensuring that all transactions remain true to the core ideals of Zcash.  This is one feature that could see the widespread adoption of Zcash, as an everyday payment method. That’s because it can be used efficiently at scale, and users are sure that their transactions are shielded from the prying eyes of the public, as happens in blockchains that don’t have privacy capabilities.  Once this layer two solution becomes a reality, Zcash (ZEC) stands a chance to become the top crypto for everyday transactions.

Zcash technology is also being adopted by other cryptos too. For instance, Vitalik Buterin recently proposed that Zn-Snarks could be used as a scaling tool for Ethereum as a stop-gap measure before they find a more permanent solution. This goes to show that there is value in the Zcash tech to the extent that it is being adopted by other cryptos as well.

With its tech superiority and growing adoption including by other cryptos and by industry leaders like JP Morgan, there is no doubt that Zcash is one of the best, if not the best cryptos in the market today. When you factor in the fact that Zcash (ZEC) has a very low coin supply, there is no doubt that it is the best crypto investment out there. Zcash (ZEC) has slightly over 5 million coins in circulation. That’s a very low coin supply and one that gives it the leeway to grow exponentially going into the future.

With such capabilities, Zcash has the potential to grow by a huge margin going into 2019. The potential of Zcash (ZEC) hitting thousands of dollars a coin is quite high. Everything about it is right.
