Malta's Delta Summit Get Under Way with All Tickets Sold in Advance

Malta has come to be recognized worldwide as a pioneer in cryptocurrency and blockchain regulation. It is, therefore, not surprising that the country is providing the stage for another grand industry event.

On October 3, blockchain and digital innovation conference Delta Summit 2018 starts at luxury hotel InterContinental Malta. Scheduled to run until October 5, the event is poised to become the world's first one officially supported by government and regulatory authorities.

Delta Summit views itself as "Malta's official platform," designed to promote blockchain and crypto technology and highlight the opportunities it offers. This should strengthen Malta's status as the leading regulated crypto and ICO hub and attract more companies and crypto enthusiasts to the country, which will further encourage this innovative technology and enhance the regulatory framework for its development.

Delta Summit will provide a meeting spot where major distributed ledger technology (DLT) companies such as Binance, Cubits, OKEx, Iconomy, Palladium, Crypto.com, Huulk, ABCC, and Revolut can come face-to-face with Maltese regulators, including the Malta Information Technology Agency, the Malta Communications Authority, the Malta Gaming Authority, and the Malta Financial Services Authority.

Apart from a meet-up with regulators, Delta Summit will offer all participants an opportunity to network, establish promising business contacts, and discuss ideas or pressing issues.

The event has attracted about 1,500 attendees, with all tickets sold out in advance. Over 75 high-profile industry leaders and officials have come to Malta to present their views and share expertise.

The list of speakers includes Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and Minister of Finance Edward Scicluna; Binance CEO and founder Changpeng Zhao (who moved his crypto exchange to Malta last year); venture capital investor Tim Draper; Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger; Bitcoin evangelist Roger Ver and many others.
