Bug bounty security platform HackerOne now accepts bitcoin payments

HackerOne, a hacker-powered bug bounty security platform, today announced it will now accept bitcoin and bitcoin cash. HackerOne has implemented BitPay, a blockchain payments provider to process payments for clients worldwide.

Founded in 2012, HackerOne works with brands like General Motors, Lufthansa, Starbucks, and Spotify to find critical software vulnerabilities through bug bounty and vulnerability disclosure programs. HackerOne has the largest community of hackers and security experts around the world and has helped its customers award hackers over $35 million for safely reporting over 80,000 security vulnerabilities before criminals could exploit them.

BitPay enables HackerOne to receive international payments faster and more economically than traditional bank wires. HackerOne customers who select the BitPay cross-border solution pay a fee of one percent for this transaction and can receive the cross-border confirmation in one business day.
