Verge gets listed on European Exchange ‘Anycoin Direct’ with XVG/EUR trading pairs

On 29th August, Anycoin Direct, an exchange platform based in Europe officially announced the listing of Verge [XVG] on its platform. Users can now trade XVG against fiat on the platform.

The announcement was also made by Arend, one of the core members of the Verge team.

Responding to the Arend’s tweet, Anycoin Direct platform said:

“We are glad to welcome @vergecurrency to our platform @Arend_XVG !”

Akshay, a Software Developer from Bangalore, India tweeted:

“After #indians, now it’s #europians, who can purchase verge with native fiat currency. #XVG”

Anycoin Direct initially called ‘Bitplaats’, started off in April 2013. Now operating in the European region, Anycoin Direct supports direct payment methods, meaning they do not hold any customer funds. As stated by users, the exchange is reliable, fast, and well-known.

The company made big news in April when it announced that the much requested token XRP was available for exchange on their platform. The platform has on-boarded many cryptocurrencies from its genesis, the latest being Stellar Lumens [XLM] and Verge [XVG]. The exchange now supports more than 17 cryptocurrencies.

Verge has been in the limelight since the beginning of the year for various reasons. Controversies have been circulating the coin lately. As a first, the coin was attacked by DDOS twice, making it the center of discussion. Also, its secret collaboration with the adult entertainment website PornHub raised many brows.

Furthermore, the team has been working on development updates. On 20th August, the team published their development update 3 on their official Medium blog.

Verge’s desktop wallet update now has a newly designed address book. The team is working on the stable release of the Electron framework. The current version is Beta 3.0.0. Additionally, the iOS wallet has made good progress.

The cryptocurrency has lost more than 95% from its all-time high. According to CoinMarketCap, Verge is holding a value of $0.014 with a market cap of $221 million, at press time. The coin has seen a hike of 16.10 % the past 7 days.
