Tron [TRX] network better than Bitcoin [BTC] and Ethereum [ETH] in terms of decentralization: Justin Sun

During the Tron Virtual Machine Launch, Justin Sun, the Founder and CEO of Tron Foundation stated that Tron’s network is ‘obviously’ performing way better than Bitcoin [BTC] and Ethereum [ETH] in terms of decentralization.

According to him, the reason for this is that Ethereum and Bitcoin mining power is controlled ‘by a lot of mining pool’. He said:

“…but for Tron, 27 SRs have the equal right to vote together. So basically, it will be decided by the 27 equal powers as SRs.”

He further added that the 27 Super Representatives were elected by the Tron community without the Tron Foundation interfering in the election. This was also the main reason the ‘freezing account’ of Tron Foundation was not a part of the Super Representative elections.

Moreover, the Super Representatives will be stripped away from their powers as a representative of the Tron network and votes if they fail to produce the blocks. Justin said that this incident has occurred before.

Tron entered the constitutional era after all the 27 Super Representatives were elected. The SRs are spread-out across the globe. There are 14 representatives from the USA, 1 representative from South Africa, 7 representatives from China, 1 representative from Vietnam, South Korea, Romania, Germany and Brazil. At present, there are more than 100 Super Representative candidates and Sesameseed is leading the elections.

The 27 Super Representatives will be playing a key role in the governance structure of Tron. They will be representing the community as a whole. In addition, they will act as the guardians of the Tron network along with the validation and calculation of the network.

The Foundation will be awarding the SRs with trophies and there will be an announcement on all the SRs who are awarded in order to keep them motivated and for them to remember the moment. According to the announcement made by Justin, the SRs who will be awarded includes those who were elected for the first time and those will be elected for more than 30 days constantly in the future.
