Trade Bitcoin [BTC], Ether [ETH] commission-free now in Arkansas, Tennessee, Robinhood announces

Recentky, the zero-fee American trading exchange, Robinhood announced that it is extending its cryptocurrency services to two new states in the US, namely, Tennessee and Arkansas. The platform made the announcement for its launch in these states on its official Twitter. It also confirmed that big cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin [BTC] and Ethereum [ETH] can be traded via Robinhood commission fee in these regions. The tweets read:

“Robinhood Crypto is rockin’ & rollin’ in Tennessee. Trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies commission free. Robinhood Crypto is hot-springing into Arkansas! Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are now available in the Natural State, commission free.”

Robinhood is not a platform that is limited to the trading of digital assets. Before launching a market for cryptocurrencies, the company was limited to the trade of traditional assets, such as stocks and ETFs. Furthermore, the startup is based out of the tech-hub of California, Silicon Valley.

Earlier this week, the exchange also announced that it partnered with Brit + Co to create an investing 101 class to introduce people to the fundamentals of investing. The collaboration published a blog for the same where it taught people the several aspects of investment, such as why to invest, how the stock market works, basic terminology when investing, investment options and more.

Other states that Robinhood recently expanded to are Rhode Island, Oklahoma and Alaska. Other states where the platform has made crypto-trading popular and commission-free are Iowa, Georgia, New Jersey, Texas, Virginia, Indiana, Pennsylvania, among others.

Many cryptocurrency space followers also requested the exchange to begin its services in their respective states. Eric Markovich asked about the free-commission trading crypto-service coming to Illinois and wrote:

“It’s like you’re toying with all of us here in Illinois. Is Illinois even on the horizon??”

A Redditor named Mikebyrneyadigg, who is also a cryptocurrency and blockchain space follower launched a mild warning on fellow users and stated:

“Lol all these people saying they want it. You don’t want it, trust me. You’re better off buying weekly options.”
