Gemini Trust Company, LLC is a licensed cryptocurrency exchange and custodian that enables users to buy, sell and store digital assets. It was founded in 2014 by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss.  According to a report by CNBC, Gemini is the world’s first licensed Ether exchange. Gemini on their Twitter stated:

“To date, there has been no trusted and regulated digital representation of the U.S. dollar that moves in an open, decentralized manner like cryptocurrencies.”

The platform further added:

“The Gemini dollar [ticker symbol: GUSD] combines the creditworthiness and price stability of the U.S. dollar with blockchain technology and the oversight of U.S. regulators, namely, the New York State Department of Financial Services [NYDFS].”

According to the platform’s white paper, GUSD is built on the Ethereum blockchain and is structured as an ERC-2O token. Users can receive GUSD by first depositing USD into their exchange accounts, following which they must convert the dollars into GUSD tokens. Users can then withdraw the tokens from any Ethereum based address.

Bibox is a blockchain-based digital asset trading platform that was established by cryptocurrency enthusiasts from China. A Twitter user named CHalexov2016 commented:

“Smart guys, real smart! We will all support big brothers and the Gemini project! By the way, Bibox, you may add Tezos $XTZ to your chain.”

Another Twitter user named PreslarShilo added:

“Putting it on the ETH blockchain was a mistake. You should have gone with Tron.”
