Ethereum [ETH] is very idealistic and inclined towards the bigger picture, says Camila Russo

Camila Russo, a financial news journalist who focuses on the emerging markets and cryptocurrencies, recently spoke about Ethereum and its creator Vitalik Buterin. Camila also spoke about Ethereum’s ideology and how it was important for the community.

According to Camila, Vitalik Buterin had created Ethereum by keeping in mind strong convictions and ideologies. He had written the Ethereum white paper when he was nineteen years old, and the ideology behind it was similar to blockchain and Bitcoin [BTC], where decentralization was the main motive.

She further stated that the platform focused on making transactions more efficient without the intervention of intermediaries. Furthermore, the network would make it easier for individuals and they would not have to trust banks or governments.

Camila said that the Ethereum’s culture had evolved from such ideologies and that it was a little different from the Bitcoin culture. Ethereum was very idealistic and was inclined towards thinking about the bigger picture. The platform also created many use cases for blockchain technology, whereas Bitcoin was very straightforward.

She added that Bitcoin was simply a store value or a digital money, whereas, Ethereum, the nature of the platform not only makes it a form of digital asset but also enable it to be a “digital anything”, which is made easier with smart contracts. Camila added:

“It’s like people with really wild ideas of what this technology can do, so you get a crazy group of people who like rainbows and unicorns.”

According to Camila, the significance of unicorns and rainbows was that the platform offered many unique and different ideas. Furthermore, the platform was surrounded by an “Internet meme focus crowd”, which was constantly active on Twitter and other forums. She further stated:

“They would communicate through these symbols which is almost like a new language.”
