Coinbase boosts its features list with Bundle, Asset Pages and Learn

On Thursday, 27th September, Coinbase announced that it was adding three new features to its roster: Coinbase Bundle, Informational Asset Pages and Coinbase Learn. The cryptocurrency exchange has also been in the news this week after the company revealed that it was staring a listing process to include more cryptocurrencies to its exchange platform.

The Coinbase bundle feature is a move that is put forth by the company to help customers create their cryptocurrency portfolio. It is aimed at new customers who need a support system to decide what cryptocurrencies to buy within a stipulated price range. Coinbase’s blog states:

“Using the current market cap at the time of purchase, Coinbase calculates a diversified portfolio of available cryptocurrencies that can be purchased with just a few taps.”

The company has also said that the bundles start from $25 which will be used to buy cryptocurrencies based on the current market and user preference. Once the bundle purchase is complete, the cryptocurrencies included in it are transferred to the user’s wallet.

The Coinbase Asset Pages is a step put forth by the company to create awareness about cryptocurrencies among holders as well as enthusiasts. The information will be accumulated on the top 50 cryptocurrencies based on market cap, even though most of the coins are not available for trade on Coinbase. The company added:

“Anyone — not just Coinbase customers — can view historic trading data, current market cap, a description of the cryptocurrency, and links to relevant white papers and project websites.”

The Coinbase Learn feature is more of resource repository where users and people interested in cryptocurrencies can visit and learn about the basics of digital assets and its workings. The company has also stated that the Questions and Answers section on the page will be created by experts in the field to help new users enter the realm of cryptocurrencies.

Coinbase has been focusing more on developments with news coming this week sating that Coinbase is also kick-starting a new listing policy to include more tradeable cryptocurrencies to its database. As of now, Coinbase handles trade for five cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin [BTC], Bitcoin Cash [BCH], Ethereum [ETH], Ethereum Classic [ETC] and Litecoin [LTC. Coinbase in an official blog post had revealed:

“Today we’re announcing a new process that will allow us to rapidly list most digital assets that are compliant with local law, by satisfying listing requests in a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction manner. In practice, this means some new assets listed on our platform may only be available to customers in select jurisdictions for a period of time.”
