Cardano [ADA]’s weekly development updates – sets groundwork for Daedalus 0.11.1

Decentralized public blockchain Cardano [ADA], in a recent blog post that was published on Twitter, outlined the technical update for the week.  The attention for this week was directed at Daedalus 0.11.1 and Cardano 1.3.1 and the groundwork for its release.

The development team in their update stated that they have continued work on the proof of concept 1, which is dedicated to developing UI permissions and sandboxing the app state that is solely built on permissions provided by the user. The team also went on to add a dialog in the UI implementation in order to request users for access once initialization occurs from their end.

Wallet Backend

In terms of the backend of the wallet, the Cardano development team has affirmed that the week was used to close up loose ends on all wallet-based endpoints. This means that the new data layer of the wallet has an entire set of wallet-based endpoints ported to it. The data layer required additional work so that it could support further updates as well as the restoration of the wallet. The Cardano team also worked on adding tests to different layer endpoints. The team moreover worked on restoring the wallet as well.

Application development and system operations

Considering the post-release advancements, the IELE Testnets acquired several deployments. The development team has also attempted to improve the deployment process so as to prepare for future integration concerning Cardano and Mantis deployment infrastructures.

In connection with the Byron Testnet, the team is all set for pre-launch arrangements which include improvements to automation, faucet and Zendesk integrations.

Cardano Decentralization

With regards to furthering the decentralization of Cardano, the development team has made progress in terms of research and design. The team has affirmed that their delegation paper was submitted to officials during a conference in the past week. However, the team has not yet confirmed whether the paper is accepted but they hope to find out later in the year. Cardano expects the e-print of the delegation paper to be released towards the end of next week.

In terms of the Testnet progress, the team has finished two weeks of backing the IELE Testnet and there haven’t been any issues that were reported as of now. But the team has assured users that they have been actively working on getting the maintainability changes [logging] working.
