Bitcoin Cash-powered CashShuffle launched on Electron Cash Version 4.0 as privacy takes center stage

On 27 March, Bitcoin Cash-powered CashShuffle’s developer team announced the platform’s launch using the Electron Cash wallet. The application’s focus on privacy helped make it popular in the cryptosphere, with Roger Ver himself using it for transactions. CashShuffle’s official Twitter handle announced,

“After over a year of development. CashShuffle has been officially released as part of Electron Cash 4.0. This is after rigorous testing, and a full security audit from @KudelskiSec. For more information check out https://cashshuffle.com. Today brings a new era of privacy for BCH!”

CashShuffle claims to provide enhanced privacy for Bitcoin Cash transactions, with the aim to provide users a safe and secure environment. Once the application is enabled, the Bitcoin Cash wallet will keep track of shuffled and unshuffled coins. In the background, it will continuously shuffle any unshuffled unspent output. The application is available on Mac, Windows and Linux systems, with the application being audited by Kudelski Security, a reputed security firm. In their report, Kudelski Security stated,

“We believe that the Cashshuffle codebase that we reviewed is implementing the Coinshuffle protocol with no significant deviations, and we did not find any evidence of malicious intent, flawed logic or potential backdoor in the codebase.”

The application is already built into the Electron Cash wallet and is currently being developed for a number of other popular Bitcoin Cash wallets. Even Roger Ver, the Chief Executive Officer of Bitcoin.com and major BCH proponent, spoke about CoinShuffle recently, saying,

“The service is private which makes BCH much better than BTC. What makes the money is the fungibility as customers want their assets to be protected.”

Ver pointed out a specific example of how 152 BCH worth $20,000 were shuffled in a single transaction, followed by a transaction of 190 BCH worth $25,000.
