Alienware R4 17” with GTX 1080 motherboard replacement

If you guys remember I purchased the Alienware R4 17" Laptop With A GTX 1080 Graphics card.

So like 6 months later, mining on it 24/7, It started acting up.
Every time I played a game, it got stuck on any settings, even on low settings! Was it damage from mining for 6 months straight?

maybe...

Alienware and Dell warranty was so great. Within days of letting them know, they send a technician FOR FREE with new motherboard (With new CPU and GPU), WIFI card, and RAM.

He was so professional, answered all my questions, and replaced it in about two hours. After that the laptop worked PERFECTLY!

When you buy high end things, the customer support is usually great and looking back am very happy buying this laptop even though I totally could not afford it back then.

By the way - I stopped mining on it as I know warranty is running out, and I know mining can damage your laptop... Laptops are not designed to mine 24/7 and I do not recommend it. It was a test to see if it is worth it and if it will actually damage it (it did damage the motherboard at the end probably).

We will start seeing stickers and notices soon that if you mine on your laptop/pc/gpu, you will void warranty automatically. Maybe it's the right thing to do? there should be warranty for dedicated mining equipment though.
