U.S. Representative Brad Sherman has recently started looking for support for a bill to BAN Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large. Brad sees Bitcoin as a threat to the hegemony of the United States government and the US Dollar. While Bitcoin certainly is a threat to the U.S. Dollar, none of us would like to see Bitcoin banned for that reason. We'll discuss the potential of a U.S. Ban on Bitcoin, what a Bitcoin ban would look like, how Bitcoin might respond in such a situation, and the general likelihood of Bitcoin being banned in the first place.
