Dusk Network | Private, Scalable, Security Tokens | Tom Heavey Interview

Dusk Network are a private, scalable blockchain focused heavily on security tokens.

The obvious question that pops to mind is - why not just use Ethereum as the likes of Securitize, Swarm and other security token issuance companies are.

In fact, if we look at the statistics, we can see that companies such as Securitize - who recently passed 10 security tokens created and are building on top of Ethereum - have seen the most significant traction thus far.

However, Ethereum has problems when we are discussing the specific niche of security tokens. Slow finality times and the complete transparency of the network are key points.

Let's say, for example, that Adam chooses to buy tokenised Apple shares from Bob. When Bob sends these shares, he'll have Bob's Ethereum address. After a simple search of an Ethereum explorer, Bob will be able to see every share that Adam holds. This isn't sufficient in terms of privacy.

Through Dusk's use of zk-proofs, Dusk can overcome this issue.

In this video, I sat down with Jelle Pol, the business lead, to discuss the topics above and much more about Dusk.
