Can Blockchain Defend Against China’s Censorship on American Soil?

A clash of values is underway as Hong Kong’s fight for democracy goes international following China’s unified state attempt to censor freedom of speech by American citizens in America.

A most probably coordinated immediate response to NBA commissioner Adam Silver defending freedom of speech saw Chinese companies in unison cut off relations with NBA.

“Dozens of mainland Chinese celebrities – including actor Wu Jinyan and singer Fan Chengcheng – said they would boycott NBA events in China this week,” reports South China Morning Post.

Such celebrities presumably paraded like in 1984, toe the line or risk joining Uighur re-education camps (pictured).

This in a country where censorship is all pervasive and in a country that demands us, our companies, should bow down to their dictatorial values.

They did it to Google, which was forced out, they did it to Facebook and many tech companies, they did it to this space by banning crypto exchanges.

Now they going after western culture itself, sport, both physical in NBA and virtual in eSport where Blizzard, to the shame of all America, has caved in to authoritarians.

Britain says not a word even though men are dying to defend the British rule of law. Weakened by its foolish attempt to leave a United Europe which could have spoken strongly with one voice to stand for freedom, they now find themselves easily reprimandable as the Chinese ambassador keeps going on TV acting like he is speaking to a vassal state.

In the case of Britain, the tiny island of far more pride than sense, he may well be, but the vast economic muscle of China is now being turned on America itself where inexperienced Trump says not a word to the disgrace of all.

We made China. Every little bit of it. We raised them from peasants to now flashy towers. We, our values. Their values starved them to death for decades.

And they now act like kings. Ordering us around. Censoring on our lands. Threatening tiny Britain and showing themselves as having ambition for authoritarian enslavement of our own companies.

The blockchain of course can provide some space for freedom here in our own countries and within China, but they closed their market while at the same time they took advantage of our open markets, took control in many of our companies, and now they dare demand censorship on our own soils.

Meaning this is not free Hong Kong anymore. This is free the world. There will be no dictators in our soil. Domestic or foreign. So time to stand for liberalism, time to stand for freedom. Boycott China.
