Coinbase is Signing An All New Deal This Weekend With Counter-Strike

Cryptocurrency trade Coinbase has finalized a sponsorship deal with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) esports tournament organizer BLAST Premier.

Headquartered in Denmark, BLAST Premier’s CS: GO esports which are professional launched in 2020. It is based mostly in 2 regions: North America and Europe. The series is split up into two seasons, the Spring and Fall periods.

Within an statement, BLAST Premier said the partnership means the Coinbase branding will feature over the Spring Showdown from 13-18 and the finals from June 15-20 april.

This past year, BLAST Premier was live streamed around the world in 105 territories to over 151 million households, according to the esports media network.

Coinbase’s sponsorship regarding the CS: GO events is just one more sign regarding the integration that is recently increasing of cryptocurrency industry into the main-stream sports – and now esports – worlds alike.

In March, Crypto.com guaranteed a partnership because of the National Hockey League’s Montreal Canadiens to have its logo design brandished on the ice at its house arena, the Bell Centre.

Earlier in the day this week, crypto exchange FTX secured the naming rights to the arena that homes the Miami Heat, the town’s professional basketball team.

“Esports and cryptocurrency both share a relationship that is strong technology and innovation. BLAST Premier is enjoyed for a scale that is worldwide an market that is well known to be tech savvy,” said Oliver Clarke, head of brand name partnerships for BLAST.
