As the ultimate goal of the San-Francisco exchange is to offer to its global user base access to 90 percent of the overall market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies in circulation, Coinbase intents on listing 17 new tokens.
While Coinbase been so far quite reserved in adding support for new crypto assets, it seems like the exchange is ready to venture out into the unknown and to list upcoming tokens that are not yet launched.
“We have largely explored support for assets that are already live and available to trade on other venues. Today, we are announcing our intention to explore assets that have not launched and which Coinbase may choose to support in the future.”-stated Coinbase.
The new tokens to be listed on Coinbase will allegedly be Telegram’s Gram, Filecoin, Celo, Chia, Coda, Dfinity, Nervos, Handshake, Orchid, Polkadot, Spacemesh, Kadena, Mobilecoin, NEAR, Solana and Avalanche.
The team also hinted that it will be adding more new coins:
“Our customers can expect Coinbase to make future, similar announcements as we continue to explore the addition of numerous assets across the platform.”
In other related developments, Coinbase’s trading platform for advanced users, Coinbase Pro added support for Dash (DASH) on September 17, 2019.
