Neo co-host meetup and workshop alongside TomoChain in Vietnam

Neo, alongside TomoChain, recently co-hosted a meetup and workshop entitled the “Embrace and Connect” in Hanoi, Vietnam. The day-long event was broken into two sessions, a Neo meetup, and a Neo/TomoChain workshop. The co-hosted event was the first between the two public blockchains since announcing a strategic partnership in September 2019.

The morning session offered attendees the opportunity to learn more about the Neo ecosystem and gave a platform for ecosystem partners, NeoWorld and Cardmaker, to discuss their projects. Additionally, TinTucNeo, a community-established group based in Vietnam, attended the event.

Alongside presentations from ecosystem partners, Neo Global Development (NGD) director of ecosystem growth, John Wang, delivered a broad overview of the Neo ecosystem. Subject matter included the history of the Neo project, technical differentiators of the Neo blockchain, the ecosystem’s distributed developer community, the Neo EcoBoost program, and how Neo is building a “stable, complete, vibrant and constantly developing ecosystem.”

The morning session concluded with a panel comprised of John Wang, NGD director of ecosystem growth, Yuan Gao, NGD head of marketing, Kyn Chaturvedi, CBDO of TomoChain, and Trung Van Hoang, founder of KTS group.

The afternoon workshop was oriented towards developers, where NGD engineer, Longfei Wang, discussed building Neo-based blockchain games.

Longfei’s presentation offered an overview of the development process with the Neo blockchain, and the currently available tools and support available in the ecosystem. Longfei highlighted software development kits (SDKs), wallet and browser extensions, blockchain explorers, smart contract languages, web tools, and more. Lastly, Longfei walked through setting up a private network with neo-local and neo-node.
