O3 Labs release O3 for Desktop wallet with NEO and Ontology support

O3 Labs have released the desktop version of its O3 wallet on the Mac App and Windows stores. O3 Labs is the creator of NEO’s first ever mobile wallet for iOS, which is also available for Android devices. O3 supports NEO, GAS and NEP-5 tokens, along with MainNet Ontology ONT and ONG assets.

The O3 desktop wallet offers many of the same features as the mobile version, including GAS and ONG claiming, ONT MainNet token swaps, “watch only” cold wallet monitoring and historical portfolio price tracking. In addition, the desktop version also features Ledger support.

Due to O3’s support of both the NEO and Ontology MainNets, Ledger users will be able to perform the ONT NEP-5 to ONT MainNet token swap with O3’s single click conversion feature. O3 for Desktop is currently the only wallet that offers this functionality.

O3 for Desktop’s inclusion in the Mac App and Windows stores also aims to make the process of updating the wallet software to new versions easier on users.

O3 Labs have released several guides for users who would like to get started using the desktop wallet:

The release of O3 for Desktop follows a number of other major releases by O3 Labs in its pursuit of becoming the “gateway to the smart economy”. O3 recently released its V2 mobile app, introduced the O3 Alliance dApp browser, and integrated Switcheo Exchange for direct trading from the mobile wallet.

In a Medium post, O3 said that “O3 for Desktop is the next step in creating a truly cross platform ecosystem, for everyday users, to interact with the blockchain in a safe and user friendly way.”
