0xWarriors RPG integrates support for Neo, its fourth public blockchain

Blockchain game development studio 0xGames has announced an update to its role-playing game (RPG), 0xWarriors, which now includes support for the Neo blockchain. To celebrate the launch of the update, 0xGames is offering 50% off on in-app purchases for new users who register for the game. The discount for in-store items will be available until Friday, December 13th.

0xWarriors is a “multiplayer game where users can fight, take part in weekly tournaments, and equip themselves with different items that they collect or trade at a marketplace.” Each player can manage a team of up to five warriors, which they can equip with various types of weaponry and armor. Additionally, each warrior is fully customizable to have a unique style and skillsets.

In addition to Neo, 0xWarriors also offers support for the Ethereum, EOS, and Tron public blockchains.

In the press release announcement, CoinTelegraph claimed, “the arena battler is bound to be among some of the first Neo-based games in the Apple and Google stores.”

Currently, 0xWarriors has written the following Neo-based smart contracts: equipment, equipment auction, storage, warriors, and shop.

0xGames, Arkane, and Neo

0xGames and the Neo ecosystem were connected through EcoBoost partner Arkane Network (Arkane). Arkane is a wallet-as-a-service provider that seeks to remove user experience (UX) issues on the road to mass adoption of blockchain. Karel Striegel, Arkane CEO, was a recent guest on Episode 18 of the Neo News Today Podcast, where he discussed the differences between providing support for Neo against other blockchains, and much more.

Arkane and Neo Global Development (NGD) established a partnership to help minimize the friction in decentralized application development, with Neo developers helping to implement the Neo blockchain into the Arkane core code. Through the Arkane API, developers “can easily build user-friendly blockchain-powered applications.”

In August 2019, 0xGames partnered with Arkane to solve the “poor user experience” problem in the blockchain gaming space. As part of the partnership, Arkane worked with the 0xGames development team to “implement a wallet solution which solves the hurdles they are facing to attract mainstream gamers.”

0xGame’s second game, 0xRacers will also include support for the Neo blockchain, upon its tentative 2019 launch.
