Crypto Trading Platform Exodus Adds Support for Ripple’s XRP, TrueUSD

Crypto trading platform and wallet services provider Exodus has added support for Ripple (XRP) and TrueUSD (TUSD), responding to investor demand for the third largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization and the stablecoin.

“You can now send, receive, and exchange to and from Ripple in Exodus. This is not a drill; Ripple is now supported in Exodus. We’ve been looking forward to writing these words for quite some time now and are overjoyed to finally share the good news,” Exodus said in a blog post on Friday.

The company further revealed that the XRP addition comes after months of “perfecting the Ripple wallet” amid strong investor enthusiasm for the new functionality.

XRP, recently rebranded by developer Ripple Labs, has suffered a major sell-off, pushing the coin from the second to the third spot on the cryptocurrency chart. XRP has swapped positions with Ethereum (ETH) although the latter had also been trading in negative territory.

In the past 24 hours, XRP has risen 7.5% to $0.35, while its market cap stood at $13.7 billion. The upward trend is in line with the wider crypto market, which is recovering from a significant slump on Saturday.

TrueUSD support and app support

Along with Ripple, Exodus also included TrueUSD, the cryptocurrency pegged to the US dollar, which is also used as a stablecoin for sending, receiving and exchanging.

“A TUSD token is worth 1 USD. Fiat-backed cryptocurrencies are pretty stable and are something which the users of the platform had been asking for from quite a long time”, Exodus noted.

In addition to the inclusion of the two digital assets, Exodus announced that it now allows its customers using Mac operating systems to instantly update their wallets in-app. Plans are underway to extend the same functionality to Windows users soon.
