Being a coherent continuation for the previous privacy-oriented protocol, such as CryptoNight, today MimbleWimble popularity is increasing. Even developers of the Monero (XMR), one of the most influential privacy coins appreciate perspectives on this protocol.
There are two mining algorithms within the MimbleWimble protocol with Cuckoo-29 and Cuckoo-31, suited for GPU and ASIC mining respectively. At present, the MinerGate team supports C-29, and C-31 will be added soon.
