Now Cash in Your Tweets & Reddit Posts via Brave Browser Tipping System

Brave is now planning to allow you to earn BAT tokens through your tweets and Reddit posts via its tipping system of Brave Browser that will be rolled out in the quarter 4. Previously, Twitch streamers and Youtube channel operators were provided with the same benefits.

After Twitch & Youtube, now it’s Reddit & Twitter

Brave Browser which is changing the world of online advertising is now soon will allow you to earn from your tweets and Reddit posts. This ad blocking browser is already allowing the Twitch video game streamers and YouTube channel operators to get paid off which is now being extended to Reddit and Twitter.

Co-founded by Brendan Eich, who also launched the web browser Mozilla, Brave is planning to add support for Twitter and Reddit tipping in its native crypto payments system. This service will be rolled out in the fourth quarter of the year.

To avail this benefit, Brave users have to enable the payment system specifically before the Basic Attention Token (BAT) of Brave actually change hands. This will be if the Brave users think your Tweet or Reddit post has any worth. Now, the hours you have spent in creating that witty, interesting post will get you crypto tokens.

One has to first manually enable the payment system through Brave’s setting page. From here the user will be able to link their social media accounts to their BAT wallets. This will allow them to tip as well as accept tips.

Incentivizing web browser users via smart online advertising

According to the company’s official announcement about this feature,

“The model will be tipping — a user likes a tweet and can give BAT to the tweeter, and optionally tweet back that he tipped.”

Reddit will have the same mechanism as of the Tweet model.

Website owners, Youtube stars, and Twitch streamers already get to register as brave publishers that allow them to accept BAT payments from their fans, readers, and viewers. A user can let Brave automatically allow their monthly contributions based on their time spent on publisher’s content. The user can also set monthly contributions manually for individual sites.

Recently, the company had reported that it has reached 3 million, active monthly users, and is progressively moving towards the goal of 5 million users by this year-end. Apart from Brave, Opera, a popular web browser has also entered the crypto market as it announced it will be adding Ethereum wallets to their desktop browsers.

Brave basically block ads by default and earn cryptos by allowing opting to add ads that don’t expose users data. In the long term, the plan of Brave is to allow the users to earn about 70 percent of advertising revenue.
