Yoroi wallet goes on mainnet

Another Cardano (ADA) wallet is making an entry into the market. Yoroi Wallet is the one that is going on mainnet today. This will allow the users to send, receive and store their ADA on this web wallet. This means now users can manage their ADA on this browser.

Yoroi is a lightweight wallet that according to the company, launches quickly allowing its users to start sending or receiving ADA within minutes. This simple, fast, and secure Cardano wallet supports five languages.

The  official announcement by Yoroi Wallet reads:

“Today is a big day: we released Yoroi on the mainnet! Users can send, receive and store ADA on a web wallet that is fast and secure.”

As for how it works, the Yoroi browser extension will basically allow the users to control their funds that too without syncing to the blockchain. Moreover, users can easily import their ADAs from Daedalus into their Yoroi wallet.

The details regarding the wallet further states that due to the installation package being small, it doesn’t require much bandwidth. Additionally, it is a light wallet so no need for blockchain’s full copy that also means the consummation of little bandwidth.

The private keys of the users’ wallets are not stored on centrally hosted servers rather on a user computer. They are actually encrypted with the wallet password.

This wallet has not only the community but also the Cardano founder and CEO Charles Hoskinson excited as he asked the community to try it out.

“I was waiting for this for weeks. Now finally I can go light. Love the fact that we are getting more and more alternatives to store ADA.”

“Awesome news! The user interface looks clean and user-friendly. Can’t wait to use it. Cardano keeps delivering and marching forward,” commented another Cardano enthusiast.
